  13. I have recently got a new hard drive and am having problems with it. I
  14. origionally put both my old and new hard drives in the same computer
  15. and then copied all the files from one to the other (after formatting
  16. it of course).

  18. I then found that I had problems running programs from it, when double
  19. clicking on the programs a window appears saying "Could not open
  20. <program name>".

  22. I checked the hard drive with both Quarterback Tools 1.5, Hard drive
  23. Toolbox and Disk Salv, and no problems were reported.
  24.  
  25. Last night I formatted it and started to install the software again
  26. and the same problem is occuring again. It doesn't appear with all the
  27. files and programs on the hard drive it is just a few of them. And
  28. they are different ones since the re-install.

  30. I have an Amiga 4000/030, Workbench 3.1, Kickstart 3.0, 6Mb RAM,
  31. CD-ROM (Tandem).

  33. The 250Mb harddrive is formatted:-

  35. Workbench (25Mb - FFS, Intnl, Dir cache, Bootable)
  36. Work (200Mb -FFS, Intnl, Dir Cache)
  37. Other (15Mb - FFS, Intnl, Dir Cache)

  39. Please help me as I feel like I am having a nightmare!!!!!!!
